Why should I choose Amoré Moments?

We believe that we stand out for two reasons. First, the quality of our work. We’ll just leave it at that and invite you to look at the galleries throughout our website so you can make an assessment for yourself.

Second, is our full service photography experience. We go above and beyond throughout our relationship together to ensure that you receive beautiful products of your images to last generations. We are on hand for any questions and to offer our professional guidance at all times.

What area do you cover?

We are located in Lincoln, Lincolnshire and we cover the surrounding areas of our beautiful city.

We are also happy to travel throughout the Midlands. Mileage costs may apply.

What does the session fee cover?

The session fee is a non-refundable retainer that ensures your spot on our calendar for your initial in-person consultation, for your photo session date itself, and for our ordering session after that!

This also accounts for the time we spend to scouting out locations, creating your shot list and mood board, taking your pictures, and the time we spend culling and editing afterwards.

Are any images or products included in the session fee?

No physical or digital products are included in the session fee.

We are a full service photography business, which means that from beginning to end we are by your side, ensuring that our contact does not end with us editing images and just throwing them to you through cyberspace.

We believe the images from your session should be displayed and kept for years and years to come; therefore, we sit down with all our clients after their session as they pick out whichever images they want via the print products and packages we have to offer.

What can I expect to invest in beautiful Products?

After the session, you will be able to view your images and decide what you would like to order.

You may choose from beautiful matted gift prints, luxury framed prints, modern wall art, keepsake boxes, albums, and digital images and perfect little add on products for family and friends.

The amount you choose to invest is completely up to you; you only buy what you love!

Most families invest between £500 and £2500 on a collection of their favourite artwork to display and enjoy in their home.

How do I book a photo Session?

We would love to capture your precious moments and memories. To book with us, simply drop us an email or fill in our contact form and we’ll give you a call to book your design & planning consultation.

This in-person consultation will be in the comfort of your own home, this is very important for us to get a sense of your style and preferences so that we can capture images that are the perfect fit for you. You will be able to see and touch the gorgeous photo products that are available to you. This is really exciting as it is when we start planning your session, what you will wear and how you would like to have your images displayed!

During your consultation you will sign your session contract and pay your session fee.

And then we are set! Now we just wait for the session date.

Session Questions

Where can we get our images taken?

We will guide you on location choices during your design & planning consultation to ensure that we are creating images that suit your family personality and carefully match the style of image you are dreaming of to the best location.

We have worked in various locations and each one offers it’s own little spot of character and charm.

If you are looking for relaxed family images, locations such as Hartsholme Park, Stapleford Woods or Lincoln Arboretum are ideal.

Newborn Sessions are held in the comfort of your home. We know that those first few weeks are tiring, so we aim to make it all a little easier by coming to you. We bring along everything we need to capture your little ones.

What happens after I book my session?

Sit back and relax in anticipation of your session.

We’ll drop you a call or an email the day before your session to confirm the last minute details.

We are available throughout your photography experience from the very beginning to assist with any questions you may have.

What happens if it is raining or one of us is ill?

If the weather just isn’t co-operating, it may be wise to reschedule your session.

We are still able to produce beautiful work, but if it raining they may not be the images you envisioned. On the day before or the morning of the session, just let us as soon as possible and we’ll re-arrange your session at no extra charge.

Along the same vein, if a member of the session is poorly just let as know as soon as possible. The more notice the better. We’ll happily rearrange your session once for no extra fee.

What should I wear to the session?

General Clothing Advice
Here are a few pointers that may help you to style your clothing for your session:

  • Avoid white – white can be tricky to photograph on bright days, and usually ends up looking boring. Use colours and patterns to express your personality.
  • Avoid matching all the outfits – when would you ever dress exactly like each other? We want the photos to reflect each member of the family individually. Let’s celebrate how special everyone is.
  • Avoid athletic shoes or big logo’s– Bright colours, large logos and athletic shoes usually end up being a distraction.
  • Choose clothes that are comfortable – If you find that a shirt itches, it probably won’t be a good look for the photos. It is surprising how discomfort can show in an image, especially with the little ones. Comfort should definitely be a priority!
  • Choose clothes that fit you well and flatter your figure – there’s beauty in all sizes, make sure your outfit celebrates your curves.
  • Choose clothes that are classic – trends come and go. As you will have these photos for years, wearing classic clothing will help them become timeless.

Maternity
For maternity sessions we suggest anything that hugs your belly! A long dress usually gives a beautiful flow to photos, or any shirt designed for expecting mothers can be added to cute jeans and boots. What we don’t recommend are any regular shirts or dresses that hide your belly. This usually results in an unflattering square-ish shape instead of flaunting your beautiful curves!

Newborn
A newborn session is typically photographed with a variety of items, or unclothed completely. We provide all props, wraps and other accessories. If you have any special clothing (hats, head bands, blankets etc.) you are welcome to mention it is during your design & planning session. We are happy to make any accommodations.

When is a good time to do a maternity or newborn session?

The best time frame for a maternity session is anywhere from 30-36 weeks. This tends to be the time where your belly is big enough to be the centre of attention but not so huge that you’re uncomfortable. We will happily shoot outside of this time frame based on how you’re feeling and what you think is best.

For newborns the ideal time for those beautiful, sleepy photos is from 6-18 days old. Your babies were given a beautiful flexibility and after this time frame your newborn’s bones begin to fuse and harden and it makes for more difficult posing. This does not mean that after 18 days old they don’t pose or sleep, and we can work with whatever age the baby is at. Just know that we might not be able to get your baby into every pose possible. If you’re baby is born premature these same images can be captured at a later age (2-6 weeks depending on how premature they were). The safety and comfort of your precious little ones is our main priority.

After your Session

What happens during the reveal & ordering session?

About 2 weeks after your photo session we will come over and sit down and show you a short slideshow of 20-30 of the best lightly-edited images from your session. This slideshow is purely focused on you seeing your lovely images for the first time. This is usually the time where we get some ohh’s, ahhh’s and a few tears.

From here, the fun begins. We will once again go over your gorgeous gallery so we can start to get an idea of how you would like your images displayed. We bring samples of the various products that we offer, so you can see what you’re buying.

We also have some wonderful technology that can allow you to see what the wall art will look like in your own home. It can help you to really visualise your beautiful images within your home.

This is your chance to pick your favourite images, make any notes on what you want the final edits to look like, and place your order!

What types of products do you offer? What do they cost?

We firmly believe that prints are more valuable than the digitals. They will be keepsakes for generations.

Albums are our favourite heirlooms. Our albums are heirloom quality printed on archival paper to ensure they last generations.

You may also choose from beautiful matted gift prints, luxury framed prints, modern wall art, keepsake boxes, digital images and perfect little add on products for family and friends. WHY DO YOU SELL PRINTS? COULDN'T I JUST GET DIGITAL IMAGES AND MAKE MY OWN COPIES AT A LOCAL PRINT SHOP FOR MUCH CHEAPER?

When ordering prints, you aren’t just paying for the paper and what it costs us to order it, you’re paying for the artwork on the paper.

We spend hours before each session getting to know our clients and putting together a mood board/shot list, to ensure that each session best reflects the story we are capturing. Because of this, each image is a priceless moment catered to YOU, that deserves to be displayed in the best way possible.

While you could order digital images, we highly encourage ordering prints through us and our professional lab. We have sourced labs with only the best quality products that are truly exquisite and last generations. It’s less work for you, it’s cheaper, and it guarantees that your images will look their absolute best and no quality will be lost (which happens in many cases at local print shops). Plus, many of the packages we offer include digital images anyways, so why not get the best of both worlds if you can?

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

We most certainly do!

We understand what it’s like to want something, especially something as precious as your captured family memories. We also understand that it is difficult to drop large amounts of money all at once.

We therefore offer payment plans to ensure that you can purchase all the items you’ve fallen in love with. We ask for 50% of the whole sale price as a deposit for your items which is due at the reveal & ordering session. We can then customise a payment plan for the remainder which can be paid in instalments (up to 4 months) that works best for you.

Products will then delivered shortly after the full balance has been paid.

Can I order my images at a later date?

We store your images in multiple locations for 8 weeks after your reveal & ordering session. During this time, you can safely order additional products of your images.

After this time, we are unable to guarantee that they will be available for further purchases as they are then only stored in one location.

That being said, you can always get in contact with us to see if we still hold the images.
